In objective description, you focus on the object or person, you describe exactly what you see, hear, feel, or smell. Not base on you personal reactipon to it. In using objective description your visual has to add something to your papar, that is you could use a diagram to help describe a person or a chartt to help explain a process. You visual has to be located as close to as possible to where it is located in your paper. You must also have to document your visual. In subjective description, you convey your personal response to a subject.Your perspective is not stated directly it is revealed indirectly through your choice of words and phrasing. Subject description is more useful example if your teacher as you to describbe a place that has special meaning to you. Cassius Domino Effect
Cassiusââ¬â¢ Domino Effect The divine lightning that rules our lives has always made us both the protagonist and the victim. In William Shakespeareââ¬â¢s tragedy, Julius Caesar, he focuses on the actions and results in the play that occur in a domino effect, with characters that set forth events that lead to great suffering. In Julius Caesar, Cassius is the tragic figure who contributes to the vision of the conspirators as a whole, but through the ââ¬Å"divine lighting,â⬠matters could not be helped.Cassiusââ¬â¢s personality leads to his, and many others, fatal downfall. Cassiusââ¬â¢s is seen as the leader of the conspirators, the manipulative master behind the cruel plan. He, with many others, disdain Caesar for his arrogance, yet Cassius encompasses the same exact trait. His arrogance is shown in Act I, when he and Brutus are talking, and Cassius notices the unease in Brutusââ¬â¢ eyes when they believe Caesar is crowned. He says, ââ¬Å"I was born as free as Ca esar,â⬠(1. 2, 104).In this speech Cassius is trying to convey the idea that Brutus is as good as Caesar so that Brutus will be more inclined to join the conspiracy, but Cassius uses the first comparison of Caesar to explain that Caesar is no better than he. His cunning, manipulative nature bleeds through in his very first speech, his arrogance is clearly shown and his motives laid down. Cassiusââ¬â¢ jealousy leads to his revulsion of Caesar. Only Caesarââ¬â¢s death being the answer to Cassiusââ¬â¢ insecurities. The cunning manipulation Cassius practices affects everybody in the play.Cassius manipulation so purely spoken by Brutus when he proclaims, ââ¬Å"What dangers would you lead me, Cassius/That you would have me seek into myself/ For that which is not in me? â⬠(1. 2, 69-71). Brutusââ¬â¢ jealousy of Caesar had not yet progressed to the level of malevolence, but as Brutus said Cassius spurns him on selfishly to mold him into what benefits him the most. Brut us is troubled at first, unsure what to do, and his odd behavior aggravates Portia, causing her to grieve because of the knowledge she does not know.Once the conspiracy is revealed to her she becomes edgy, and the arrival of Octavius sends her into a fit of stress which ends with her swallowing ââ¬Å"fire. â⬠Caesarââ¬â¢s death is the main source of suffering, but Caesars anguish is not because of his death. His suffering is revealed in the moments before he dies, he utters the most memorable line in history, he cries, ââ¬Å"Et tu Brute? â⬠(3. 1, 85). This is the cause of Caesarââ¬â¢s complete death, the death of not just his body but of his trust.Caesar could handle the betrayal of the other senators, because that is politics, but the betrayal of someone he viewed as a friend, someone he loved, destroyed him. Antonyââ¬â¢s speech, causing the most wide spread wave of despair, leads the Romans to exclaim, ââ¬Å"O noble Caesar! / O woeful day! . . . We will be r evenged,â⬠(3. 2, 211-214). Their anger then leads to the suffering of many, even the innocent, as is exampled with the Poet Cinnaââ¬â¢s death. The pristine control Cassius prides himself with, slips and turns Cassius into anything but the victor in this war of superiority. After Caesarââ¬â¢s death Brutus becomes the leading face of the conspirators, leaving Cassius without even the pride of that small feat. Brutus becomes the leading face of the conspirators so now Cassius cannot even pride himself with that. When Cassius and Brutus fight, thinking the other has deceived them, Cassius falters, ââ¬Å"Cassius is aweary of the worldââ¬â/ Hated by the ones he loves, braved by his brother/ . . . / Strike as thou didst at Caesar, for I know/ When thou didst hate him worst, thou I lovedst him better/ Than ever thou lovedst Cassius,â⬠(4. , 106-119). Cassius jealousy still remains, despite Caesarââ¬â¢s death. The feeling of unworthiness still runs deep, he feels like he still canââ¬â¢t compare to Caesar and it is tearing him apart. In the end though, through another misunderstanding, Cassius believes that the battle has been lost and his close friend, Titinius has been captured, he exclaims, ââ¬Å"O coward that I am to live so long/ To see my best friend taââ¬â¢en before my face! â⬠(5. 3, 36-37). Ironically as Caesar has lost his best friend so has Cassius, which leads to his conflicted death. In the end Cassius is the conductor of his own suffering. It was Frye who wisely proclaimed that the tragic heroes seem the inevitable conductors of power, yet they become the both the instrument and victim of the ââ¬Å"divine lighting. â⬠Cassius is seen as the leader of the conspirators leading him to contribute to the vision of the conspirators as a whole, but through his choices he causes the suffering of many including himself. Revenge is bittersweet.

Positive Relationships With Children Essay
Positive relationships with children and young people are important for the following reasons: When a child/young person feels comfortable and settled within their care setting they are more likely to engage and participate more with staff and other children within the group which creates a more relaxed atmosphere, it also makes the separation process easier for the parents/carers as well as the child /young person as it shows that the child/young person is emotionally secure, Building and maintaining positive relationships is also important as it contributes to the developmental needs of each individual child/young person personally, socially and emotionally which then enhances their language skills as they gain confidence talking to each other and staff. Positive relationships also enables us as practitioners to understand and respond to children/young people more effectively as we are able to recognise their emotions and expressions and also enables practitioners to plan more accurately as we know more of the interests and understand the developmental needs of the children/young people in our care. Making sure as a practitioner I keep to my word i.e. if a child/group have done a particular activity today, and I have told another group/child they may have a turn next session I must make sure that is what takes place as theses situations will affect the trust between myself and the children within the setting. Positive relationships are maintained by us practitioners, parents /carers being good role models, by showing courtesy and respect to each other at all times, remembering that we must show respect and courtesy to our younger as well as our elders, Always being fair and consistent, listening to what is being said without making judgement and making sure that any rules and boundaries set out are kept to and understanding when information is to be kept confidential, being able to identify and resolve disagreements /conflicts, help children and young people to understand the difference. Effective communication- the way in which we speak to an individual, according to age and developmental stage of the child/young person, beingà aware of body language/hand gestures and facial expressions. Ensuring that children and young people are aware and understand their views and opinions are valued and considered. It is important that people involved in the care of children and young people build and maintain positive relationships with each other, as this can also have an enormous impact the development and wellbeing of the children and young people within their care spectrum, having a positive relationship with the child/young persons parent/carer can have positive effect on the child/young person, as this is the first step in getting to know and understand the initial needs and preferences, likes and dislikes and fears or concerns of each individual, also by including parent/carers in various sessions giving them the opportunity to contribute and get involved in planning and implementing of various activities it encourages people to engage in conversation where different views, ideas, and skills are learned. Also shared whilst showing the children/young people how to live in diverse community where we are all individuals who are able to work together regardless of background or upbringing. positive relationships between the various professionals working with children/young people whether it be colleagues, external agency/organisation or service, is important as it has a direct impact on the child/young person ongoing development, being able to share information between adults involving children/young people in different situations engaging in various activities, means that planning for the children/young people can be done more effectively as each professional involved may see a different way of contributing towards the development /wellbeing of the child/young person, they may also have the opportunity to identify any needs and interests different to those already established, the welfare of children/young people can be properly monitored while being assured that each child/young person is being given consistent care, any concerns or issues can be shared accurately and promptly when required following correct procedures and guidelines.

Andy Warhol Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
Andy Warhol - Essay Example The lines are not sharp. They are hazy and wayward as if drawn with a very lose hand. There are six dollar signs occupying most of the space on the canvas. Except for two, the rest touch the upper and the lower edge of the canvas. Starting from left, the first dollar sign is painted in a very dark maroon color with its shadow showing in red; a translucent hazy image of a dollar sign. The sign looks flat in comparison with the length of the canvas. The second dollar sign has light green background while the dollar sign is painted in purple color with orange shading. It might not be in drastic contrast with the background but it still gives the offset coloring. The next dollar sign has similar pattern; light blue background with light burgundy to fill the dollar sign. The notable thing is the hazy blue appearing as the shading within the dollar sign, which creates this hazy effect such that the viewer might feel drunk. The second row from the left has a different style of the dollar si gn, probably representing the dollar currency of the old days, with two lines through the ââ¬ËSââ¬â¢. The contrast with the background is similar to the first picture. The last two signs have light blue and light green backgrounds respectively. It is oil on canvas piece of art. The advantage is to reflect the different collage of colors in each dollar sign. The point of repetition of dollar sign is to mock those people who separate business from art, those who think that apparently art and business are mutually exclusive. The choice of material makes an ordinary sign (the dollar sign appear more appealing). There are not many colors that people see in an ordinary looking thing that is the symbol of power, money and the American dream. Andy has tried to communicate his ideas about art and business through his work. To many the question of repeating the dollar sign is baffling. But Andy delivers a powerful message through this repetition that even art can be manufactured. His st udio was named The Factory only to emphasize his philosophy that art can be dealt as a commodity. The repetition of the dollar sign mocks the people who try to separate the two. It is quite apparent what the artist is trying to do in the painting. For my own reaction to this painting I am nothing short of being in awe of Warholââ¬â¢s work. There are many art students who think that living the life as an artist is hard with unstable or low income. Andy Warhol is considered one of the most successful artists; the top of those who made money through their art. Warhol proved that when the artist knows his skill inside out it is relatively easy to make money. Just like an experienced financier or investor can get through thick and thin and able to save his company, the same is the case with an artist; by simply painting a lame dollar sign in different colors, shades and backing it with a thought proved successful for him. He got fame and as a consequence got fortune so it conveys a ve ry powerful meaning to me that we only need to figure out the way. Sometimes the path needs to be cut out but there is no such thing as dead end or rigidity in arts. I chose this particular piece for I am a fan of Andy Warholââ¬â¢s work. I look up to his paintings when I need inspiration. When people tell me that my work isnââ¬â¢t good enough or when people doubt my abilities I read about Andy Warhol and look at his artwork. Today when a successful artist is known by the amount of money he makes, it is only imperative to learn the tricks of the trade. Without being recognized or being paid for the work, there is hardly any future to a talent, be it the fasted pitcher or the most skillful artist. The likes of Michelangelo and Da Vinci werenââ¬â¢t excused of this bitter reality of life. Warholââ¬â¢

Performance Engineering Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words
Performance Engineering - Essay Example As the user continues to value the performance of a given project so is the time that the user also needs to concentrate on the risks that might lead to the failure of the set project. In addition, there are quality requirements that the user will have to put into consideration. For instance, scalability and performance are two qualities of service requirements. In addition, manageability as well as security are among other quality of the service requirements. The user needs to put into consideration in order to reduce risks as well boost performance of the system at he same time. Furthermore, the user can employ the mechanism of reactive against reactive mechanism in order to ensure that there is improved performance of any given project at a given time(Rangaswami et al.). In most organizations performance level is not in developers consideration until the point where the customer lounges a complaint against the performance standards of that particularly given project. Meaning, for the production, to meet the clientââ¬â¢s expectation. Then it has to be frequently evaluated. On the other hand, there are many problems to consider when it comes to the reactive approach (Woodward M). Performance downfalls enter from time to time just from an early stage of the designs and at the same time the design problems can be hard to fix through more efficient coding. In addition, installing architectural problems thereafter in a given cycle is sometimes hard to make. Furthermore, making it at a later stage is not only difficult and complicated but also very costly to t he user. Performance is a persistent quality of hardware systems; everything has an impact on it, ranging from software itself to the rest of the underlying layers, such as hardware, system, communications network and middleware. The process involves a performance engineering, which incorporates efforts

The resurrection of the Democratic party in Texas Research Paper
The resurrection of the Democratic party in Texas - Research Paper Example They were inclined to get involved in factional strife. Democrats have always been protective of the existing state of affairs. They are known to be quiet resistant to change. The political culture of Texans has been remarkably stable despite historic changes. The existence of the Democratic Party since it started in Texas can be categorized into two main periods. The first period from 1836, their independence, to 1952 when there was a presidential election. During this period, the Democratic Party was the only feasible party and dominated all levels of politics (Texas Politics Website). The second period from 1952 in which the Democratic Party faced numerous challenges from the previously ineffective Republican Party in the control of state affairs. Due to the lack of organization in the political parties before 1848, personalities dominated the political force. Contests eventually evolved to a more definite stage of competition after the Democratic Party formally became part of the electoral process in 1848 during the presidential campaign. However, it is important to note that it took sometime before the Texan democrats could adopt a statewide network and organize conventions. Nevertheless, partisanship developed steadily between annexation and 1861. Democrats started facing opposition at different sources. Initially it was the Whig party, followed by the American party and finally the Constitutional Union party. In the mid 1850s there was rapid growth in the mechanism of party discipline. In 1854, the party was influenced by the upheaval in national politics. This made the Texans move from Jacksonian nationalism and associate themselves closely with rights of state of the lower south. This made the Texans move from Jacksonian nationalism and associate themselves closely with rights of state of the lower south. The governor elections in 1895 demonstrated that there was division in the Texasââ¬â¢ political structure. During the civil war, democrats in Texas brought partisan activity to a stop after they became closely associated with extreme pro-slavery side that the Democratic Party supported in the Confederation (Texas Politics Website).à à In February 1861 when Texas seceded from the Union, democrats had the highest number of officer holders (Worth). Moreover, most of those elected in the state government and those appointed in high military positions were also democrats. After the civil war, the U.S. Congress stopped senior Confederate military and political officials from holding offices or voting. The Republican Party dominated the politics in Texas between 1865, the end of the war, and the end of Reconstruction ten years later. In the early 1870s Confederates who had formerly stopped holding office were allowed back into the electorate and the resumed control of Texas state politics.à After the civil war, there was another split between the Secessionist and the Unionist democrats which was an immediate aftermath. Since the strongest Unionist had moved north and left the political scene, the remaining active members supported the Confederacy.
